Ghost text when surfing

When on the Internet and typing in a text box, ramdon ghost text appears that i am not typing.

EG of text: 'the the where is the, will you find the the same way you have a'

Dots and lines appear first then the text comes up.
Is this a virus? A scan with norton has not found anything. Also it has only just started happening since i went on mIRC.

do you have office xp, or any other voice recognition software? If so, disable it and see if that helps (voice recognition is enabled by default in office xp):)
