I used the manual uninstall method from symantec's website and now every time I right click on a folder, symantec installer pops up.

How do I stop it from doing this?

Norton makes a removal tool to help clean up any traces of the program which the uninstall utility leaves.

It will uninstall ALL Norton products you have.

Get a registry cleaner program like tune up utilities and/or toniarts easycleaner to clean up the registry entries left over by symantec's uninstaller. Then clean up any temp files left over with ccleaner.

CrapCleaner should resolve that.
