My son downloaded the free ride games program ( I have now cut off his rights to do installs) and I uninstalled it. However the damned thing still has a "free ride games customized web search" bar in both chrome ,firefox and ie!!
How can I get rid of them?
Thanks for any help
You may need to re-check additional items when you go to uninstall programs. Normally unwanted toolbars are left behind working. Try a free mal-ware or anti-virus to remove them. "The great mass of people ... will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one" A.H
go into start/control panel/programs & Features and remove it in there. Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
Hi , I used the uninstall feature from control panel to uninstall the freeride games toolbar originally but it has still left this altered google search and bing search bar in my browsers. I am using windows 7 64 bit
it has still left this altered google search and bing search bar
Bing is the standard toolbar with IEWhat altered search are you talking about?

Whn I open IE it goes to this page:
http://search.conduit.com/?SearchSo...as a home page and what I see is basically a google search page with a Free Ride Games banner above the google search box instead of the normal google banner.
Now I know I can change the homepage option in IE to go straight to a normal google search page but this free ride games thing has obviously got its claws into my system sonehow and I can't think how to change the problem in firefox.
In firefox I have a google search box on the tool bar and inside this box where you would type your search criteria is the text"Free ride games customised web search"
ive got same issue...let me know how you get on
hi had same problem but used what i always use in these cases. Just go into accessories/ system restore / and pick a date to restore before you down loaded the free games, and hey presto you should be up and running as it was before you down loaded that crap. Let me know if this helps. Regards
Pete
I got rid of it in firefox, basicaly you can delete it from the list of allowable search engines in firefox.
