All right, I posted on this problem earlier, and my virus scanners (yes, multiple) finally decided they could turn up the Gaobot. It had infected three different system files, two of which were removable. Now my spoolss.exe seems to be permanently infected. Norton can't clean or quarantine it, and the Gaobot Fix from their website can't get rid of it either. Any suggestions?

Have you tried to scan with Nav in safe Mode?To do this follow the instructions provided..

1. If the computer is running, restart Windows.
2. When you see the black-and-white Starting Windows 2000 bar at the bottom of the screen, start tapping the F8 key. The Windows 2000 Advanced Options Menu appears.
3. Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected. In most cases, it is the first item in the list and is selected by default. (If it is not selected, use the arrow keys to select it.)
4. Press Enter. The computer will start in Safe mode, then try to scan with Nav to clean up the virus. If this doesnt help you can post back for further advice.PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
