funky irc dial up

Comment:
I have noticed that when I boot up XP, I have to dial up to irc.funky.asss.username
This is not my usual dial up. If I'm careless and don't check, I'll still get access in Internet, but does this thing do any harm?
And also, why does my XP boot up and shut down so so slowly?

try 30 day trialTDS-3 anti trojan after download and install. download radius.td3 file to c:\program files\tds3 after updating click "system testing" then full system scan. when trojans/etc are found they will show up in the alarm window. right click the file name there and choose delete.

i just cleaned a pc that had a dialer trojan on it. that if you let it connect it would call stockholm sweden. thru 1-800-276-8801 then the 01146 international number. i've read of similar dialers that have run up huge phone bills. sometimes upwards of $1000.

that was the one (tds-3) i used to find and remove the dialer. 1st i tried spybot s&d, mcafee,housecall.trendmicro.com. and none of those detected anything. tds-3 found 3 files and 2 registry entries. and solved the problem.
