Hi, after reading good things about Sygates free fireall on here, I was just getting ready to download it in the next couple of days, but according to the website Sygate was bought out and is no longer avaliable. Now I am back at square one. Now that Sygates free firewall is no longer avaliable, which free firewall would you guys recommend? Keep in mind that i am not all that computer savvy, so i am looking for a free firewall that is easy to use but has good protection also. thanks for the help.

Thanks for the links, but since Sygate will now have no new updates, wouldn't it be better to go with another free firewall. How is the Kerio compared to other free firewalls such as zonealarm. Like i said early i don't have much experience with firewalls and am looking for one that is easy to use but also has good protection. thanks

Sygate, tho its been sold, is still a stable product. And for many users, easy to install. I see no reason to change.
