This forum is here to defend against this type of activity.

How do we know that you arent going to use this to get someones credit card details?

Even if you do use it for the purpose you specified, its a bit low to be spying on your wife.

Try confronting her directly.

I agree with Andrew. Even if your intentions were completely innocent, other people read this forum who could use the info for not so innocent purposes. Btw...communication is the key to every successful relationship or so "they" say ;)

I totally agree with the previous posts, but in answer to your question, i think i have a solution, if this is a personal computer then i think you have a right to know what it is used for in your abscence. As the person you intend to "spy" on is your wife, then any results obtained such as credit card details should be common knowledge anyway, but i strongly advise against any immoral or illegal activity with such information.

A program i used records every keystroke and takes a screen shot at preset intervals. It automatically loads upon start-up and is invisible, only the person who installed the program knows how to bring it back up/stop it or remove it.

Do a search on www.downloads.com for "GOLDEN EYE" the publisher is ACESOFT. It is free to use for 15days then you have to buy it or remove it from your system as it is no longer functionable.

It's good to know what your kids get up to etc, but remember some things are better left unknown or as they are. Finding the facts this way is somewhat harder to deal with and can cause rift. As I found out!

thanks hex :) much appreciated... i shall give it a try... as i said.. i am not after all details, just yahoo, msn and icq logs... that is all i need... IRC is already covered, cos she doesnt know how to check for logging there (as far as i know - who knows, maybe she HAS been deleting some logs)... and enough has been said in there to REALLY make me worry...

AndrewD and GoingCrazyGal.. i can fully understand your concerns.. i AM aware of what spyware could do.. but..
i've already tried talking to her about my feelings... but of course, a confrontation like this just ends up in arguments... and if she WAS cheating.. she's not about to admit it is she?

as such.. i am not looking for something to save passwords and stuff (i already know her passwords anyway)... just log the three already mentioned... and it of course doesnt need remote install abilities..
