hi all i poseted this in 2000 forum but i believe it fits better in here.. I have a general question. Does anyone know of a free online SPYWARE REMOVER??? I have googled and found several that will SCAN for Spyware and tell you what you have.. but then in order to remove it. They want 49.95.. I already use a free online TROJAN Scan and virus scan. But what about SPYWARE?? Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks.. I know there are ones like Spysweeper that you can use for a free trial. But I am specifically looking for one that you don’t have to download… period..

again. i am NOT looking to download anything.. I only want to do the ONLINE scannning.. any help is appreciated.. thanks..

Hey, not having an exe file running capability is a very poor spec. Sorry, couldn't resist that...

Maybe you should describe your problem and someone may be able to help with it.

In the meantime (just guessing) download and run this:
EXEFIX08

It's not an exe so you should be OK.

ok sorry for not explaining very well as I had another post open on this. I am on a PC that I do not have Administrative rights on. so I cannot install .exe files to clear this. this is a Pc at work. and I just wanted to remove some Spyware if I can on my own.. I may very well have to go to the administrator. I simply wanted to know if there are any online Spyware scanners that can clean and not just detect..

OK fine, then obviously EXEFIX does not apply (unless the spyware happens by chance to be the one that prevents .exe's from running).

There are several online virus checkers but I've not run into one for Spyware. Let's hope that straight after this you get someone who proves me wrong...
