Hello everybody,
Anyone know of a good free firewall for win7? I was using comodo, but it bogged my system down considerably.

Please sit back and relax while Windows 98 installs on your computer.

A "good free firewall"? Windows free firewall, just add a hardware firewall (router) and your set. No "bogdown" and very secure.

Computers in the future may have only 1,000 vacuum tubes and perhapsonly weigh 1 1/2 tons.

yellowbelt-
I would love to have a hardware firewall, but being a college student, I can't exactly afford that right now. I know it's cheap of me, but I kinda need a software firewall.

When I did have a software firewall I liked Sygate Personal Firewall. I tested it against grc.com's leaktest and seemed the best one for me, with no router.

Jackfrost, I just installed it. Simple to use and doesn't take up too many resources. Ran a shields up test and it failed the ping blocking test. Any idea how to enable ping blocking?
