What is the best free anti-virus software that you guys know of? I am running Avast and it's not catching a worm I have. I would run Mcafee but I really don't feel like paying for the software right now. So, like I said, what free anti-virus software catches the most stuff?

did you try doing a bootscan with avast? That should remove any problems you are having. I have used avast for 7 yrs now and it has always removed any problems.. If you had Norton or McAfee before you installed avast, I hope you used the uninstallers from their websites, if you just uninstalled them from add/remove no av or firewall will work properly
