For about a week now, every 15 minutes or so I get a pop up dialogue box that says"Mcafee firewall has intercepted a fragment flood attack (sometimes it says "port scan" attack) Click here to trace the attacker> When I click the icon, it shows that the attacker comes from allover the world (usually from Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Madrid, etc.) I don't know what to do. I assume my system is safe, that way I have the firewall, but these dialogue boxes are annoying the hell out of me. Do I need to do anything? How do I make them go away? as usual, Mcafee tech support is a waste, they have not returned my email. Thanks everyone.

As long as your firewall is intercepting the attacks, you're safe. This kind of activity is common on the Net.

To make certain your firewall is completely stealthing your PC's ports (effectively making it invisible on the Net), go to the link below and test your firewall. Scroll down the page and click on ShieldsUp. Then click on Proceed and Common Ports.
