Comment: A week ago my computer said it has found virus and was not able to fix that and was not able to acces that. Gives error message " unable to fix the file" and Access denied and the file location it shows is this: "c:\WINDOWS\system32\FuH8nl5r.exe ". It also says its Trojan Horse in type. I run Norton AV 2005 with all the current updates installed. Its been giving this error message once atleast every day since last week. I'm trying for a week to find a solution of getting rid of this virus from my comp. My comp has not encountered anything serious and I want to get rid of it before it makes something serious. CAn anybody help me to get rid of this virus please. Also cud anybody tell whether its a hacker virus. Cos i want access my bank account and i want to know whther its safe to do it. Reply: (edit)I have some good free cleaners plus instrucions on how to use them. Just click on the link in my signature. If your PC is for personal at home, I would suggest unloading Norton because it misses lots of stuff and also bogs down your resources. There are also good free AV alternatives listed. If you choose Avast, I would suggest using the norton uninstaller from their website to remove Norton and then also run regcleaner to get rid of any remnants. Then open Avast and let it do a bootscan on reboot. You'll be amazed what Norton missed. Good Luck Some HELP in posting on Cnet plus free progs and instructions Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back your result

Reply: (edit)I'm with XpUser4Real there. Get rid of nortons bloatware. Avast is an excellent and in my opinion much better choice. Also for online banking you will defenitely need a firewall + antivirus program. Refer to XpUser's signature. To be sure your pc isn't still infected (aside from installing alternative av program) you can do a couple of free online scans.
