Try going to the secret question page and answer the questions answer which u had typed during the registration.
If u cant remember that, then try searching the database,or write to the company's help regarding this matter.

Emily, there are literally thousands of posts with this same exact problem. Just search the archives for a viable solution.

waht system are u runnig?????? If it's win 95 or 98 follow the instructions. Once u turn ur computer on, start pressting F8. Keep on doing this the screen comes up with some choices. Chose choice number 7. WHen ur there, type in "rename c:\windows\*.pwl win". THen reboot ur computer. WHen it ask u for a password again, type in "win". U can then change ur password 2 whateva u like.

She's using Win 2K...says it in the header of her message. :) So, it's probably NTFS, so she can't do what you're suggesting.

I'm told taking out the CMOS battery for a few hours (allowing the capacitors to drain), replacing & rebooting will reset passwords. You will probably have to reset the time aswell but that's no big deal.
If you try this... don't use magnetic screwdrivers inside the PC.
Before anyone says "magnetic... no probs" ask someone who has taken a magnet to a TV screen... !
Trust me, I'm a doctor.
