Comment: thr is a file called microsoft powerpoint.exe in a hidden file in the C:\user\documents and settings\local settings\temp. avg detected it as a virus but couldnt heal. folder options is inactive, so i cant even delete the file... any leads into wat this could be and how i can get rid of this?? phani

Reply: (edit)The 1st thing you could do is D/l the cleaners from the link in my signature, run those. I really don't understand why anyone tries to heal viruses....doesn't make much sense to me. Why not just move it to the quarantine? If you clean your PC with the cleaners, then rescan again to see if the problem still remains. If you still can't remove the file try move on boot, unlocker or Dr Delete, any one of those should remove it for you. Some HELP in posting on Cnet plus free progs and instructions Glad to Help!
