I have 250 GB HDD. In my drive 'G' i have yellow folder named 'pnjani' which has storage capacity 39 GB and contains 11 GB data. On one fine morning i found another yellow folder with the same name 'pnjani' contains Zero bytes. I tried to delet the same then message appears that this is a system folder and it require to run window properly. Even though I tried to remove it with Avast anti virus Free Home edition but it could not remove. With unlocker it gets deleted but reoccur after 10 minutes. Thus the new folder with the same name is not getting deleted.

I had tested by the methods available on internet and found that it is not auto run virus.

It is also not the new folder.exe or W32/Auto Run Worm. This testing has been done by the tools available on the net for the same.

This all happens three months back and since then i am trying to do my level best to remove this same name folder but not getting any success.

Since last three monts ONLY this one folder is created with the same name and no other folder is being created.

Thus when i opens drive 'G' two folders appears with the same name 'pnjani'. One is original and another is duplicate one. So for my convince i had renamed the duplicate ond as 'abc' so that with out westing my time i can directly go to the required folder'pnjani' for my data access.

Now thus say that I want to remove this duplicate folde which is renamed as 'abc' and the same was occurred as 'pnjani' earlier.

I am using avast anti virus home edition (Free) and which is being updated hourly.

Please help me to remove same name folder from my PC from my drive 'G'.

you definately have a malware problem. Have you tried Malwarebytes yet?

How about a bootscan by Avast, that way it will run before the other processes do and possibly allow you to remove it?

Just click on the avast icon on the desktop (NOT the one at the clock) and when it opens, left click on the dropdown box on the upper left and then select schedule a bootscan. It will then be scanned on the next reboot.

You are welcome, I made the site to help fight malware.

If those didn't fix your problem, you can post a HJT log and I'll look at it for you.
