Solution? Buy a Mac. Windows sucks and is horribly
outdated. It's the same thing they released in the
90's with fancy window dressing. That's why you're
all getting so many viruses! Have you ever heard of a
virus or worm exploiting Mac OS? Didn't think so
cause it doesn't happen! HAHAHAHA. Bill Gates has
you and all your data hanging by a thin thread. Good
luck morons!

Too bad macs won't run 90% of available software. If they did, I would consider buying one. Then again, so would everyone else. If that happened, you would start to see mac viruses.

You do not see mac viruses now BECAUSE NO ONE CARES. Macs do not have any market share.

LOL, what virus??? Mr. Norton gets them for me, sorry. Keeping a good firewall, and virus daffy's up to date stops them. I wont go to McD's to get a Big Mac, let alone a pc with that name.
3 years with the same pc, and "windows", and still going strong. Someday we'll say, Bobby, welcome to windows... Good luck Bob.

...or another solution is to get some form of unix or linux. The reason for not many virus exploitations remains the same, though: nobody cares. (Or at least not as many that care about windows.) Such a small percentage of computer users use nix that most virus-makers and/or crackers* don't really care unless they are trying to shut down a server, or something like that. And it's almost all open source (i.e. free).

I don't want to start a windoze/nix flamewar, I'm just mentioning it so others are aware.

*I don't mean cracker as in saltines, it's like a cracker what most identify (incorrectly) as hackers.

Solution? Buy a commodore. I would find that just as usefull as a mac. and the chances of getting infected would be zero.
or use knoppix, a nice cd version of linux, it uses only physical ram and a cd-rom. as soon as you shutdown ,whatever you have is gone.

Bobby, if you have a Mac, what are you doing here? Bored are you? Bored people don't bother messing with a few, when they can mess wiht millions. Doesn't mean theya re smart, jsut means they ain't got a lick o' sense.
Now I've been using Windows since 1995 and have yet to be infected by one of those bored idiots. Don't go to sleep with your doors and windows open, you might find yourself worse than hacked.

Hmmm.... I can get on the internet with my old Amiga 500 and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be affected by any of these modern day viruses. Maybe we should all switch to those. Sheesh.....

Hey this is great entertainment! LOL!! A nice break as I am DL XP stuff on 2 different computers. We made the switch on the desktop 2 weeks ago and on my laptop 4 days ago. Just have to add polishing touches to some hardware. Apples vs. Power, Apps, Versatility/Expandability. Brother-in-law had one of those toy machines for years until he saw the photo editing capabilities (he is a landscape artist). Unfortunately, he had his 1st experience with ME, but now is using XP. Now, he won't even let his nearly grown kids use the apple, as he does not consider it a serious machine anymore. What can I say? His actions said it all!

I think there is a better idea to it all stop buying computers all togrther and force them to get it right on all platforms. I have been on sence the dayd of the trs80 and have never had a virus on either my Mac or PC until now and I'll be damed if I can get rid of it unless I pay some CO to do it for me. Now that is the probublem and I ask do they have someone out there making virus's so we have to pay to get rid of them? I have The W32/toolber.c downloader thing and hell if I know what to do. anyone want to help? now that would be cool.
