Reply: (edit)My recommendations would be 1st Sygate, it is very comprehensive and it is easy to use and to uninstall, should you not like it. Then there is Kerio which uses the least amount of resources and is a rule based firewall, which means it can be extremely powerful, but you have to know how to use it. Then there is Zone Alarm(I use it), which is the most popular(why I think people complain about the problems they have with it), it is easy to use, but if you do not like it, it can be a little difficult to remove all the components. If you want more testing/reviews go to the following websites for more information about your security and firewalls, PC Flank, Gibson Research, thepublicworks, wilders.org and spywareinfo. Take care and all the best?

Reply: (edit)hi jennifer, i reccomend kerio firstly for its ease of use after you've understood how to configure it and its small foot print. i've been using it for 2 years now and never a problem. there are many kerio forums that will show you how to create powerful rules that secure your machine such as dsl forums and the yahoo forums on kerio . hope this helps, murve
