I currently have the firewall included in Windows security center. Is there a better one out there and can i run more than one firewall? I've noticed my firewall on occassion turns itself off for 30 seconds or so randomly. Many thanks!

Comodo has a good free firewall, not as many conflicts as zone alarm. http://www.personalfirewall.comodo....
You should only use ONE firewall at a time because they will conflict.

If you have SP2, that firewall has proven to do quite well, at least for home use and doesn't have all the nag screens that you encounter with others.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

The SP2 firewall only offers protection against intrusions. It has no protection for outbound connections. If you got a trojan downloaded that contacted a remote website to download more malware, the SP2 firewall would not alert you or stop it.

I think a firewall with 2 way protection is essential.

sorry suzi, you are wrong on that one 'The SP2 firewall only offers protection against intrusions. It has no protection for outbound connections.'
The SP2 firewall DOES have a complete 2 way protection and is quite under-rated. It has less nag screens than other 3rd party firewalls and is quite safe for the home user.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks
