how good is kerio firewall 2.1.5 ? have anyone tried that .. i am sick of zone alarm and dont want to use it anymore..i really liked firewall of avg plus firewall edition, but the trial ended..any other suggestions?? plz help

Well, I use it on W98SE and it is fine. Very small/low resources, hence suitable for old OS's.
It's a bit DIY/techie, so it can take a while to get it set just right. After that you tend to forget you've got it.
You could adopt the Simple Simon approach to setting it up, ie block everything except what you know for certain is OK. If the net suddenly slows down markedly then you've blocked some basic protocol. Not exactly a recommended way of going about things but it is "a way".
I gather that if someone throws fragmented packets at you they might be able to get through (it's a vintage 2002 firewall). Never had any problem tho, passes all online tests as stealth.

i just tried kerio firewall 2.1.5..am confused now..i dont even know wat connections to block and wat to allow..even though zonealarm was slowing my pc and internet connection ..it was easy..:( mayb i should try the newer kerio firewall 4.x.

Kerio 2.1.5 can be tamed but it doesn't sound like it's the best one for you. You do have to work on it, which is the way of many things to do with older systems.
I've lost touch a bit with later Kerio versions but I do get the impression that they are more user friendly, so it's worth trying.
Otherwise, if you Google around you might still find Sygate Personal Firewall V5.6 (which was their last free version - Dec 05 I think). That is fairly easy to use but possibly a little bigger than Kerio4. It is smaller than ZA tho.
