Firefox reintroduces seven-year-old security hole

The Mozilla Project said it is investigating the report, and a moderator of the organisation's online support site said the flaw had not been exploited. "To protect yourself, close all other windows/tabs before accessing a site where you routinely put in a secure password (your bank or PayPal account), or your bank or credit card details (e.g. Amazon), or other sensitive data," the moderator said.

That's it! No more leaving dodgy sites running while I do internet banking for me! I might stop writing my pin number on my debit card too!

We'll all have to wait for IE7 to be safe! Microsoft have promised to block cross scripting.

Let me guess, it is all Microsoft's fault, right?

FF is over-rated. Face the music, there is no perfect software. Programs are only as perfect as the people who programmed them. Any one know any perfect people? Microsoft haters need to grow a brain.

There is a reason Microsoft is #1. It's the best, allthough far from perfect. I've tried Linux / opensource and it does show innovation and hopefully gives Microsoft some competition to make their products even better.

Do not trust the Internet with any financial information and don't do any Banking online, it will never be 100% safe and if your money and personal information means that much to you don't give it out, I only use the internet to find things to purchase and if I can't call them and give them my CC I don't buy it from them, as far as Banking you are giving them the information to steal, I guess it just depends if you have enough money for them to try. Idenity theft is too common.

On CNN yesterday they say that Identity theft is low tech. Only 2% of all Identity theft involves computers.

If you use a wireless telephone, you can use a scanner to pick up other call signals. Giving your credit card over the phone may not be safe either if you want to be %100 paranoid.

Telephones? Sheesh......why tempt fate?

Electricity at home? Risky.

How am I posting right now? To be totally safe, I only use the demo pc's at Circuit City. A few of them have Internet access.

Ooops...they're about to close...the guy's givin' me the "let's go" wave. Gotta go.

Uni is right. Electricity is dangerous and can lead to high electric bills for our mommy's + we could get shocked and die at the young age of 42. I'm not ready to die.

We can have anonymous & free computing only at retail stores PC dept's. I’m gonna sell my PC on ebay. I now will only to make telephone calls on encrypted pay phones at SevenEleven. I'm also gonning to get a fake mustache since I cant grow one and allways wear trench-coats -- so I don't look conspicuous.

Now who’s smart? Who’s your Daddy? I’m the man. Over and out fellow Nerdlings....

You can't be too safe with hackers and aliens and solar flares. Life is good.

P.S. Never talk to strangers.
