Reply: (edit)VERY true! MS saw the biggest problems because they are 95% of the world market. Hacks don't get their rocks off by picking on the little guys, so Mac and Linux along with a bunch of others got off relatively easy. With so many people switching to FireFox, they have now become a big target. PS: With a little common sense MS and IE are just as safe as anything else, perhaps more so, they have more experience dealing with these problems! _________________________ Embrace paranoia, they ARE out to get you!

Reply: (edit)Yep, more and more a**holes are turning towards attacking FF. That is why updating FF is just as important as updating IE, XP etc. D4Dog "beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder"

Reply: (edit)I've been using FF for over a year now with no problems, but would like to see Mozilla issue patches to correct vulnerabilities instead of waiting to put out a whole new version. Oh well , it will eventually be done that way-- maybe.

Reply: (edit)I suspect that releasing a new version is a cheaper process. Perhaps maintaining all the required tech to push (or feed) updates would require much more maintainence...staff....servers...etc. Just guessing, though. > PLEASE CONTRIBUTE to Computing.net - Report back what did/didn't work for others' reference.<
