I have the toolbars personalized in FF. If I delete my 1.04 V FF, then install the new version, will my pc retain my FF settings and toolbar arangement?

Interesting, I just tried the tools/options/software updates/firefox option & it came back saying there are no updates available (No, I haven't already installed it, I'm still using 1.4).

mvoltage - when I updated to 1.4 it kept my toolbar/plug-ins etc. as it was, so I'd guess it would be the same this time.

Just installed it over previous 1.04 & it kept all settings. This release apparently fixes 12 vulnerabilities.

According to this page:

Prior to installing Firefox 1.0.5, please ensure that the directory you've chosen to install into is clean and doesn't contain any previous Firefox installations.

Ah yes, under the 'known issues' it says that but if there doesn't seem to be an issue then installing on top doesn't sem to cause a problem - worked on the 3 systems I've got here anyway.
