Reply: (edit)Interesting, I just tried the tools/options/software updates/firefox option & it came back saying there are no updates available (No, I haven't already installed it, I'm still using 1.4). mvoltage - when I updated to 1.4 it kept my toolbar/plug-ins etc. as it was, so I'd guess it would be the same this time.

Reply: (edit)Just installed it over previous 1.04 & it kept all settings. According to this page: Prior to installing Firefox 1.0.5, please ensure that the directory you've chosen to install into is clean and doesn't contain any previous Firefox installations.
