I have a program that i want to use but whenever i try to use it, it is unable to connect to the server it needs. I have zone alarm off and windows firewall off. I know it works because the program has worked when the computer was in safemode. Can anyone help me fix this issue?

"I have a program that i want to use but whenever i try to use it, it is unable to connect to the server it needs."

What is this program?? (Please answer)

"OS: Windows XP"

^^^Which version?? Home - Pro, SP number is?? Thanks

Using any security programs, for the internet?? Are you using a HOSTS file? (It's in the 'windows\system32\drivers\etc' (folder). Like maybe you used the one from S&D. Or maybe even from some where else. Might be listed, that's a might, anyway.

"But this is not a website its a program so what do i do for that?"

What I quoted there ^^, and what is in the first quote, in red. A 'server', and website, can be restricted by what was said about IE and what was said about the HOSTS file. And you know it's restricted HOW, please answer, thanks. lots of ways... router..prox whoops, works in safe mode you say..

"And the program is already allowed on Zone alarm."

What program?, and does it need server rights/permision?? Never mind that, I think you said it didn't work, with ZA off, right. To many questions, to get to an answer.. well, maybe ;-)
