Hello Eveyone.

I belive I was infected by a trojan because I downloaded a file and when I executed it it just dissapeared. I had alredy done a scan to the pc and nothing, except a cookie. So is there anyway to find out if my pc is infected or not?

Thanks in advance

P.S. If anyone wants the file to analyse please tell me.

What, the one that 'disappeared'?

Personally, I don't - but if you're convinced, you can try uploading to jotti for analysis - although the results may not be definitive - false positives and misses are common

Based on what you're claiming, that's not exactly 'evidence' - the only surefire way of determining infection would be a series of AV scans using a variety of reliable applications

Common sense is the best protection of all - don't execute files from unknown or suspicious sources

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.
