Can anyone recommend a decent app for hiding and encrypting folders so hackers even if they happen to get my files can't decode it.

I have used this for a long time.It never failed yet.
It hides and encrypts the folders until you put your passwords in.
Encrypted magic folders.

w2k, and I suppose XP, has built in "cipher" for NTFS partitions.
