Trying to fix a friends computer. Spybot showed 85 entries. I have removed them all except for three that won't see to go away...FRAUD.XPAntivirus, Microsoft WindowsSecurityCenter_disbales, and Win32.Winlagon.co. The Security Center may be okay as he has Norton installed.

In addition IE and Firefox crashe whenever it is started on a problem with a C++ library. Can someone hlp me clean try clean up the machine.

Disable System Restore, then install and run MalwareBytes. Run a full scan and delete everything it detects.

Hi,

I downloaded both scanners and started with malwarebytes. I ran it about 4 times as each time it found more. After each scan I had to reboot. After one of the scans there were windows updates to I installed them and once again had to reboot. Well that was a mistake because now I cannot log into any ID. I click on the ID and it says "loading settings" and then immediately says "saving settings" and logs off.
