EZ Antivirus Updates Not Working

About every 15-20 minutes, my EZ AV gets a question mark over it. I click it, and it says something about the auto-updates failing to update. Is there anything I can do to fix this? In the case of a virus, I'm running Trend Micro and McAfee Stinger back-to-back.

Neither came back with the antivirus. But either my modem or Adelphia have been messing up recently, and my internet bleeps in and out. Could this be connected?
