Subject: explorer.exe infected with Trojan
OS: AMD Athlon XP 2000+
CPU/Ram: 256 MB
Comment:

Norton detected that my explorer.exe (C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\explorer.exe) is infected with the Throjan.Adclicker virus, but it can't remove it. How do I go about cleaning this file?

Thanks

Anam

Have you started your computer into the "safe mode"(usually you tap the F8 key during startup) and used NAV to clean the file while in it?

That isnt the real explorer.exe, the real one is located here C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe.
Use a process killer, kill the fake explorer.exe then delete it. You will find good process killers at
