Comment: Norton detected that my explorer.exe (C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\explorer.exe) is infected with the Throjan.Adclicker virus, but it can't remove it. How do I go about cleaning this file? Thanks Anam

Reply: (edit)Have you started your computer into the "safe mode"(usually you tap the F8 key during startup) and used NAV to clean the file while in it?

Reply: (edit)That isnt the real explorer.exe, the real one is located here C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe. Use a process killer, kill the fake explorer.exe then delete it. You will find good process killers at http://www.anti-trojan.org
