Hello,
My first mistake was letting my 19yr old Nephew in-law watch our house and use the omputer while we were away, but anyways, here's the problem I have now:
I don't know what he did, (but I know what he was doing ) because my Norton found a program that was trying to access the internet from my computer. I found the program name (DownloadPlus) and found out where it was (as a hidden file in the Application Data). I didn't know what this was and thought it was something to do with the Download Accelerator Plus program that I just got rid of 2 days ago. Apparently it wasn't and when I looked in the properties of it, I see that it was from someplace called "Porn Kings". Needless to say, I first banned my nephew in-law from every using our computer again. Anyways, I tried to delete it, and it keeps coming up with the "access denied: cannot delete" warning. It doesn't show up in the Add/Delete Programs of the Control Panel.
How do I get rid of this and check for anything else he may have done???
Thanks in advance for your help
P.S. In the properties section under version I found this "BRAND=stealth;FOFFSET=0;AFFILIATE_ID=800116" where it says value.
Hopefully that will help.
Thanks again

I would get and use SpyBot, Adaware and spywareblaster from wilders.org and then use this website to find and clean any possible trojans http://www.simplysup.com/remover/details.html

Sign on as administrator. use the scanners listed above. try deleting the files.
no joy?
check the file attributes of the undeletable file. If necessary note where that file is. You may be able to do a Start / Run / Command to go into a dis shell, use
CD (change directory) to move around
DIR (directory) to list files
attrib filename.ext to view and change file attributes
erase or delete will kill the file.move through the command window to the directory where the files exist. delete them then do
cd ..
RD directoryname
exit
