my novell 4.11 server primary dos partion was automaticaly erase, after installtion of dos partion n novell 4.11 server (Non dos partition remains as it is) my excel files are not open the massage is "file is not in recognisable format ) pls help in this matter

I don't get you problem completely.
You may have to clear up some details.
1. a novell 4.11 server is a standalone machine, that uses a dos partition only to boot up the novell server. The novell server itself uses it's on novell partitions. So did the novell server not start anymore?
2. where are the excel files located? Are they stored at the novell server or local?
