Well i have the annoying icon that says i have a spyware alert and system warning i have downloaded the hijack file . Can anyone help me ? I have found some evil files but cant stop it from coming back.

ATF Cleaner http://www.majorgeeks.com/ATF_Clean... run the updates for all of these programs, then go into safe mode and run them one by one not all at the same time. If you have another Anti virus tool then remove that before installing AVG free. Also go to Start >> Run type: msconfig look at all the enterys under the STARTUP tab and carefully deselect those you believe are Malicious, if you are unsure type them on here and we can instruct weather to remove or not. do this and then come back with results.

The virus is still there:( trying to add spyware like pcsecure and ultimate cleaner. Any more advice?

Have you installed and run everythng i have mentioned above? also have you gone into msconfig to see if you can see it there?

Yes i have done all of the above im afraid, the virus went, but when i rebooted it came back. Shall i try hijack ? I now get the sign saying 'someone is trying to hack into my pc i need to use spyware'
