I did a clean install of XP Pro on this older desktop, I decided to install Smart Security on it yesterday and that went fine, but the comp was even slower than it was before. Thinking SS was the problem I uninstalled it.
When that didn't make a blind bit of difference I tried to reinstall the software again thinking its not going to make any difference, but now the install won't finish. It gets right up to the last part of the install then it says "rolling back install", it rolls it back, then tells me it failed due to an unexpected error.
Ever helpful, installshield neither bothers to tell me what the error is or gives me any output other than the error occurred and its tough luck I'm having. I've emailed ESET, and the first thing they told me was I didn't have enough ram on the computer, when I tried to explain to them it installed fine the first time they ignored me.
Can anyone suggest some stuff I might be able to do to get it to install again as I'm completely lost now and have this AV license sitting here doing nothing.

Run a system restore to the point prior to the first installation then reinstall.
The system restore should remove any registry pointers so this time there should be nothing to stop it going in fine.

First of all you don't have enough RAM to run windows XP.. With only 128 ram, It will run like a slug with suction cups on.. You need to boost your ram up to at least 256 mb, I would
install 512 mb.. With only 128 mb, you should be running either windows 98 or windows ME..
Also with that amount of ram I don't think NOD32 run...
