Comment: Since I last updated my Norton antivirus 2004 a few days ago, I keep getting the following message when I try to update NAV: Error: "LU1848: Couldn't create callback object" I've been on Symantec website and followed all instructions without getting any results. My last option is to un-install/re-install my NAV. Is it really necessary to fix this error or can I simply ignore it? Don't want to remove/re-install NAV if it is not necessary. Thanks

Reply: (edit)I have the same problem since doing mandatory MSN Messenger upgrade last week. Do you have an easy solution? I don't really want to uninstall, install, delete files, etc, etc. But I need the live update feature. Any suggestion?

Reply: (edit)I to am having the same problem. I was just wondering, if I restore, will I have to go back to the date this showed up? March 1, I will lose a lot of info. I have gotten no results from norton, they keep saying it is my subscription. I just renewed, thinking this was the problem.

Reply: (edit)Another soul with the same error message, and anxious to know if you've gotten anywhere. Uninstall/re looks like a big deal, and WILL system restore lose you important settings, and ARE virus definitions crucial. And we pay for this service!
