downloaded eprompter. Huge mistake. It is a piece of crap; I uninstalled it only to find in my search that there are lots of eprompter files still there. I uninstalled in control panel-but not enough. I wonder if eprompter is some sort of virus loading or malware. How to uninstall?

I would suggest that you re-install it, then use revo-uninstaller to forcefully remove it, that way it will help you get all the parts out of the registry.

thanks but what you suggested didn't work. eprompter still has many files which look like they are repeating themselves every 4th or 5th one. I did advanced uninstall and still no results. I can't eliminate them manually so I guess I have some kind of giant trojan that is relicating itself inside my pc! help!

Followed eprompter directions for uninstall of this monster program. I now have 5474 eprompter files! When I try to delete all these files in the "find" function the computer does 2 things:
(a) "can't delete, can"t find specified file" next try:
(b) "can't delete, can't read from source file or disk"
I have no idea where to go from here. Revo Installer did nothing!
I need a gun! Thanks in advance.

Nothing has changed! I went into "safe mode" and went to "search" and got about 15 of the "eprompter" files up and then halted search. Tried to "cut" them but no good-still the same answer which includes "no read from source file or disk", "can't find specified file". I tried deleting just one of the files with the "right" click of the mouse and got the same "can't do..." response. The files alternate in twos as follows:
C:\documents+settings\owner\start menu\programs\startup..........................................shortcut
C:\program files....................................................file folder
I am right back where I started from. Is this a trojan monster or what? Why does it replicate these files 5400 times? Why can't these files be manually deleted? I have never seen anything like this!
There must be some way to get this cr*p off my computer! Someone at eprompter suggest the "safe mode" but that didn't work If you know anyone who can help me please let me know. Thanks in advance. 10/7/09 11:35pm I need a gun!
