you'll be notified when you update the definitions, when the new free version is available for download. saw that on the avg site. they said it would be available in early november.

I've been using the version 7 in beta for some time now and find that it is a big improvement on the V6 as far as the user interface goes. One of the few Beta releases that I've used that appear bug free.
