Hi,

I am looking for a software with which I would like to get "on-the-fly" encryption and decryption. The files that I save in the designated folder should be encrypted automatically and when I double click on a file from that folder, it should be decrypted automatically and open.

I tried truecrypt, FreeOTFE and BCTraveller which creates virtual volumes, but all of them seem to have one problem or another. Truecrypt creates volumes (created volumes using my work PC) and works fine, but when I try to mount the volume in my PC, the PC crashes immediately. FreeOTFE tries to get an exclusive lock on the device instead of the mounted volume, but fails to unmount if I have any open files from the device. BCTraveller disappears from the system tray when explorer crashes for some reason.

As a result, now I am looking for a free on-the-fly encryption software at the folder level, not to create encrypted volumes.

Can some one help me?

Thanks,
Balaji.
