hello I have microsoft office outlook 2003 and one fine day a virus occured in my pc. I must reinstall xp but before I copy my pst files on usb drive. after reinstalling xp I paste it in the destination folder but occured that the pst file is empty can the virus empyed this pst file??????

What was the size of this pst file when you copied it?
If it was 0 kb - the you chose wrong file. If this file has a size then maybe you are pasting it to a wrong folder.Default location of pst file in XP is in \Documents And Settings\username\

As SSHGuy said, how large is the pst file that exists on the USB drive? Are you sure that you once you copied that file back to the newly loaded drive, that it's actually listed in the Data Files for Outlook? id10t
