I got this from the AVG help site.
AVG Free is indicating that a virus has been found and the test results status reads "Infected, embedded object."
AVG Free has detected a virus that resides in an archive file (such as a zip file, .exe or .cabfile, etc). AVG Free Anti-Virus cannot remove viruses that are embedded in objects. Therefore, you will need to delete this file manually. If the infected file is a zip file, you may try to extract the file to a folder and scan this folder to find the infected file(s).
This trojan is dialer.11.AW AVG says it is embedded. C:\Explorer.cab\explorer.exe
Can anyone tell me how to find it and delete it manually? I don't have a clue on this. I have a similar thread below, but I feel this is a different ballgame now. Thanks guys

Maybe shut down the system restore and run your virus check....that should do it and don't forget to put system restore back on after deleting the virus

Try Sally G's suggestion above first.

**"This trojan is dialer.11.AW AVG says it is embedded. C:\Explorer.cab\explorer.exe"..

Try following the referenced path to see if it really exists there. Enter Explore, click on C, in the Right window look for Explorer.cab, after you find it click on it once and see if explorer.exe is there. If it is, delete it.

If you can't find it, R.click C, type in Explorer.cab and search. Make sure Search has "search hidden files" enabled.

Just remember, don't accidentally delete this file in this location; you won't have Windows if you delete it:
C:\Windows\Explorer.exe

Don't have an answer for you..I have one as well & don't have a clue how to fix it..AVG says it's there..Trend Micro didn't find it..AVG states:
C:\documents&settings\administrator\localsettings\temporaryinternetfiles\content.IE5\360BVPGD\mmviewer
Trojan horse downloader Agent 3.BO
Infected, embedded object
If anyone knows how to fix this thing I would appreciate help..thanks.
