I have heard in the past several people said they got a virus through their mail. If there using YAHOO or HOTMAIL isn't that a very remote possibility they got a virus through them being as yahoo and hotmail scan all mail for viruses. I figured they got their viruses from a website they visited or computer was hacked and maby they didn't have a firewall ...

You're correct. Hotmail and Yahoo have virus scanning software.
