I have a dynamic IP address, but for some reason, it never changes. I even called my provider to verify that it is a dynamic IP. Is there any way to change it myself? I'm on Windows XP and use Sprint DSL.

"I have a dynamic IP address, but for some reason, it never changes"......and do you have a problem with this observation ?
Since you are doing this because youre curious2know, set your IP to static and wait till your current IP expires (sooner than later it will) then switch back to a dynamic IP setting.
Do not type anything in this space.

I believe dynamic IP addresses are set by your ISP. A static IP address would be for you to put yourself on a local network.
