Hi
I got infectet by spyaxe, and probably a few othere things. I managed to get rid of almost everything, expect "Download.Trojan". I got Adaware and Northon Antivirus. The problem is that i get infected by Download.Trojan every 30 minutes. I seems to reinstall under the same directory but always under an other name. The Northon is deleting it immediately.
Does anyone know how i prevent it from reinstalling?

Try this link and follow the instructions for removal
Download.Trojan" You're only as safe as your last update "

Also here is a trial program you can try
Trojan Remover" You're only as safe as your last update "
"Google is your Friend"

Comanche, It's also possible that that Trojan is in your System Volume/Restore files. You may have to turn off System Restore then restart your computer then run a virus scan in SAFE mode. If it comes up clean turn System Restore on again.
How to Disable System Restore in Windows ME or Windows XP

Well i might not have explain well enougth. Its not that i can't remove the "Download.Trojan", the problem is that its is reinstalled every 30 minutes in the C:/windows/system32/1024/ folder. The symantec solution doesnt work scince its only for deleting the file, and northon does not find the installer, as well as adaware and Trojan Remover. I also have deactivated sys restore and i also tried safe mode.

Comanche, Please post a Hijack This log so that the files associated with the virus can be identified. You can download Hijack This at this link http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ then place it into a folder of it's on, such as C:\HJT, so that back up copies can be made and not clutter your desktop or other folders and the backup copies of deleted items can be easily located if needed.
Once saved double click HijackThis.exe, and press "Scan". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents into the text editor at this forum.Do not fix anything yet unless you know what you are doing. This is a powerful tool that can crash the computer if used improperly.

There is nothing in the log, it's clean. That don't mean anything other that it can hide from HT.
I don't know what you have done so far to remove it so this is what I normally do.
Omit any of these you have already tried<
Run this free online scan from Panda
When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to the desktop, then copy/paste into the text editor and post it.Post this along with the ewido log
Download Ewido Security Suite then set it up this way Ewido Setup Instructions reboot into Safe Mode and run Ewido
When the scan has completed, Ewido will create a report.txt file. Click the "Save Report" button on the bottom of the screen and save the log to your desktop in case you need it later.
Please reboot into normal mode and post the ewido log.
Next download SpySweepers two week free trial from this link http://www.webroot.com/consumer/downloads/?WRSID=e409ac047198452130f804c8e255dbca
Set Spysweeper up this way:
Install it. Once the program is installed, it will open. It will prompt you to update to the latest definitions, click Yes. Once the definitions are installed, click Options on the left side. Click the Sweep Options tab. Under "What to Sweep" please put a check next to the following:
Sweep Memory
Sweep Registry
Sweep Cookies
Sweep All User Accounts
Enable Direct Disk Sweeping
Sweep Contents of Compressed Files
Sweep for Rootkits
Uncheck Do not Sweep System Restore Folder.
Click Sweep Now on the left side. Click the Start button. When it's done scanning, click the Next button. Make sure everything has a check next to it, then click the Next button. It will remove all of the items found. Click Session Log in the upper right corner, copy everything in that window. Click the Summary tab and click Finish. Paste the contents of the session log you copied into your next reply. Then download and run ccleaner to clean out all your temp files. Make sure there is not anything in the recycle bin that you need as ccleaner will delete recycle bin items unless checked not to do so.
If you have still had no success Download Blacklight Beta from this website:http://www.f-secure.com/blacklight/try.shtml
Save it to your desktop and double click on the file.Have it scan your computer but do not try to fix or delete anything identified by the tool, it may list legitimate programs.
If the scan does find anything then copy and paste the log back to this thread. The log should be on your desktop or root directory (C:\). This is the format for the log file name:
fsbl-<date-and-time>.logIf you have any trouble finding it do a search for fsbl*.log

Hi Comanche
have you tried the online housecall scan from trend micro it now has a combined virus spyware and security scan
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
If any advice helps, please post back as it might help others.

If you don't have a good firewall running, then you will be at greater risk as well. Windows firewall will not prevent files already hidden and installed on your computer from 'calling home', and thus reinfecting you.
Zonealarm makes a firewall that prevents attacks both from the outside, and from programs already on the computer. Even their free version works better than most pay programs. It's amazing. Hope this helps a little as well. The guys here are incredible, listen to them closely, they won't steer you wrong.

Thanks geys i m running my system without any attacks for a few days now. Spysweeperwer did find some kind of trojan downloader.
Actually i dont want a software firwall on the pc because it does take some CPU, just use northon antivir and a router with a firwall.
