does this downloader.Trojan slow the system down. The reason I ask is that I was recently attacked by this virus and went throught all the steps everyone suggested. I was able to find the file and delete it. I ran two different anti virus and neither found the file again. But, my system is crawling. When I restart after about 15 minutes I get a message from Norton talking about the autoprotect was not turned on.

Did you clear your system restore file, and shut it down prior to scanning? I am not a fan of Norton it does surface scanning; Which means if a file is infected and is in a zip file it would never find it. How about spyware checks as well. Are you using spywareblaster, spybotS&D, Adaware, Spywsweeper, Counterspy CWS shredder, or any others to check for problems? Did you try and oneline scan separately as well?
