recently, avg picked up a Trojan Horse called "Downloader.Dyfica.AA" ... i tried to search for it on the internet, but couldn't find it. i came to this forum and found a virus that was similar. i tried the same thing to get rid of this one. i disabled system restore. avg isn't picking up the virus anymore but i'm afraid i might have something on my comp that could trigger it again. anyone know anything about this virus?

You might try scanning your PC with these two online services:

try this - avg found it on my computer this morning - I tried everything and avg couldn't remove it - so I finally resorted to msconfig to see if there was anything unfamiliar and there was a program reference to "bridge" I unchecked that - restarted - then reran avg and lo and behold this time avg was able to heal the files where it was located. - Just a suggestion !

I have just downloaded the AVG upgrades and scanned my pc. It found the "Downloader.Dyfica.AA trojan". I removed it by going to "Add and remove programs". Look for a programme called "Internet Optimiser" and delete it. After removal I did another scan of my system and it came back All Clear.
