Basically, how do I permanently remove doubleclick? I have AdAware and a bunch of other security programs installed. However, AdAware always picks up doubleclick on every scan. I know you can opt out of doubleclick which i've tried with no luck plus I already heard it doesn't work which i know now. Can anybody tell me how to permanently remove it?

Also is the following site 'http://home.neo.rr.com/grizzly/morpheus/morpheus.html' legit to remove cd_clint.dll by cydoor?

thanks in advance

Go to IE / Tools / Internet Options /
Security tab
Click Restricted Sites zone ( far right of slider )
Click Sites
In "Add this web site to the zone" box, type
*.doubleclick.com
then click Add
then type
*.doubleclick.net
then click Add

This will prevent the doubleclick cookie from being downloaded.

I found a complete URL for doubleclick residing in this file:

C:\windows\wmplibrary V 0 12.db

That is for windows media player - MS says
you can rename to .OLD and a new one will be
created. Then you can delete old one. You lose playlist settings by doing this.

My old one was 2 megs - the new one is less than 300,000 bytes. I have Win 98se /WMP 7.01
I am not sure if doubleclick is in the new file or not.

The Windows Media Player contained a Spyware, get rid of it, and install the RealPlayer or Sonic Player.
