Hello, i am writing because i got a virus somehow and it says "Task Manager turned off by computer administrator" but i am the computer administrator, my computer keeps shutting down by itself and i have rune AVG a few times and it has got about 20 Trojans off (which is ironic cause ive only been on the comp once since i installed the new motherboard and formatted my HD)but it is still giving me the error, it installed a few things on my computer when it happened. What it installed is "outerinfo" and "Internet Speed Monitor". i backed up my registry a while back so i was wondering if there is a way to switch the registry to the old one. but when i try to import it says "Some keys are open by the system or other processes" I am running Windows XP home edition w/ SP2. its a custom machine with an AMD 64x2 2.1ghZ processor, 2 gigs of RAM and a new MSI motherboard. i would be very greatful for any help i could get. thanks

The disabled Task Manager was one symptom of a virus discussed recently:
