|You'll need to use the "Safe Mode with Networking" option to get internet access in Safe Mode, and if you've got an active internet connection you could still get hit with a keylogger even in Safe Mode. |
You will also find many devices don't work in Safe Mode (eg sound, proper graphics etc) because Safe Mode ignores all third-party drivers (except your network driver if you choose that option).
If you're worried about possible keyloggers, Safe Mode is not the answer. You need to install a good quality Internet Security package like Norton. Norton Internet Security is no longer the slow bloatware it used to be. It's much better now, in fact one of the best.
