Specs: Windows 7
Got sent a link by email from an ex wife: martianist.i107.imaginationplus. This goes to some poxy viagra site? Probably shouldn't have clicked on the link. However it looks like it sent itself to a lot of people in her address book. Sound familiar? Virus or something else malicious? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks

Haha I doubt there's any relevance to the fact that it's your ex-wife, but it does sound like a virus found it's way in to her computer. If you haven't downloaded anything, you should be fine.

It sounds like a spam attack rather than a malicious virus or trojan. Just somebody trying to get people sent to a site to buy a dodgy product. If you're worried that you've taken on the virus yourself, I'd run a scan just to be safe. Maybe also change your email password? Good thing to do from time to time regardless of this!

Ok Kirsty. Thanks for the advice. I didn't think it was personal, given that it was sent to a lot of her friends as well. But hopefully you are right and it is just spam. I shall scan anyway and change password.

Thanks again.
