i have recently installed norton internet security 2012. do i need to still use zonealarm free firewall as well ?
You do not need either, there is better Freeware Software out there..... Googling is quicker than waiting for an answer....
As a direct answer to your question, the Norton product has a firewall so there is no need to have Zone Alarm. In fact running two firewalls could cause issues. I am happy with freeware products myself but have heard that current Norton products are not the big bad wolves that they used to be. Their earlier products got a bad name for being bloated.
