DNS Redirect Virus

There were a virus on my notebook that redirected a lot of web pages to a fake antivirus site. I (probably) removed the virus with AVG Free, but something is wrong yet. The redirected sites can't load, browser is waiting and waiting... For example Google is loading and all of its links are working, but when I type anything to the search box and submit, nothing happens, the search results never appear.

Can anybody help me?

I don't think the virus is gone completely. From what I've seen, Anti Virus programs just can't keep up, these days. You could try using a static IP and the DNS IPs of your ISP instead of DHCP or you could try to find the redirect in the registry. If you can't do either of those, run Hijack This and post the log.
