DNS error Randomly Appeared

Specs: Windows XP
I was playing an MMORPG and had alt tabbed to surf some websites. I was using firefox at the time with 1 tab for Facebook and one with youtube. I hit the stumble once on youtube and didnt get anything interesting, hit it again and then got a DNS error. Went over the the facebook tab and clicked a link, got a DNS error as well.

So i pulled up IE and couldnt get any websites either, but i was still connected to my MMORPG and talking/moving/etc. One friend suggested it was a DNS error since it wasnt affecting my entire internet.

Not sure how it happened, ive generally found stumbleupon websites to generally be pretty clean and never saw any downloads come up.

My PC tools spyware doctor only got cookies (which it deleted), My ad-aware got nothing, and my McAfee is currently scanning but atm has come up with a "TM33D.tmp" Backdoor-DWR.

Since this is both of my broswers (and my MMO wont connect anymore), but i've tried inputting IP's directly into my browsers that they work, i feel something either infected my computer or some settings got extremely jacked for some reason.

Any clues on what this might be, and ways to fix it?
